I have a multidisciplinary background spanning network mathematics, security engineering, and applied research. My PhD focused on resource allocation and distributed optimisation for wireless networks, and I now lead security engineering work in industry — building backend systems, mitigating DNS abuse, and exploring AI security. I enjoy connecting rigorous theory with practical, production-grade systems.

  • Leading the engineering team and cross-functional SDLC security initiatives, while remaining hands-on with backend security and DNS abuse mitigation. Applying AI-driven tooling to strengthen security operations and SDLC workflows.

  • Built abuse-detection and security tooling for large-scale networked systems (Go, Perl, Lua, Bash); designed REST APIs and a micro-service observability platform (Grafana, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ). Represented Tucows in ICANN's CPH/TechOps working group.

    I contributed to the launch of a startup, Wavelite (Recently known as HaiLa) in Montreal between March 2017- May 2019. HaiLa is a hardware/software IoT solution that aims at enabling scalable and sustainable development of IoT sensors. The technology addresses the key challenge with limited life time of wireless sensors.

    I worked as the technical lead, contributed towards building functional prototypes, technology roadmap creation, recruiting, and steering the software and hardware development. As a result of our work, we filed a number of provisional patents under "SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PASSIVE WIRELESS DEVICES", in addition to the external patents that were licesnsed through university collaborations.
